Here is a funny picture of Daddy in Montreal.
I had so much fun with Daddy this weekend. We went to Canada and visited a couple of museums. One of them was about the history of Montreal. It was really neat because I don't really know a lot about the place where I was born. It was funny to see some of the toys that I used to play with at a museum. I'm not THAT old. While in the toy section, I got to play with this felt board that they had up for kids. I made a face out of some of the shapes. It's so fun to be able to do things like this every now and then. Then, at the end of the museum, I signed a guest book saying "Daddy and Baby Ella loved it!"
When we got to the hotel, I found out that Daddy had booked the romance suite. There were chocolate covered strawberries, champagne, robes, and slippers waiting for us in the room. Daddy is so awesome! After munching on some of the strawberries, we went for a walk down St. Catherine Street. We stopped to pick up some Canadian candy that you can't get in the States and then headed back to the hotel. Then we crawled into the HUGE bed and watched Ratatouille.
The next morning we went to the Biodome...I think. I always get the biodome and the biosphere mixed up. They are basically the same thing except one is for kids and one is for adults. Anyway, Daddy got us some headphones to put on so that we could hear commentary on all the animals. I had a strong urge to go down the slide that was by the seals but Daddy wouldn't let me. He said I was too big. It's really because there were too many people around. Otherwise, he would have let me.
After that we went to the bug museum and the botanical gardens. There weren't any flowers to see except for a few hardy roses here and there but it was a nice little walk. The bug museum was cool but so creepy! They had live spiders and beetles in cages. There were also moths and butterflies that were as big as small birds tacked to the wall. But the best part, they had interactive displays. Those are always fun for the little one in me. I got to match the bugs with their homes. After that we went home.
At home I was playing on the bed when Daddy brought over some clothes to fold. I tried to help him but mine didn't look the same as his. Two year olds can't fold clothes very well you know. He showed me how to do it right and said I did a good job the second time around. Then I dressed up my teddy bear so that he looked just like me. Then Daddy read me a bedtime story and we said goodnight.
